Reviewing a Million Little Ways by Emily P. Freeman

Title: A Million Little Ways: Uncovering the Art You Were Made to Live

Author: Emily P. Freeman
Publish Date: October 1, 2013

I am an avid reader and determined at the beginning of the year that I would like to read more in 2021. This year, I set a goal to read at least one book per month that would help to grow me as a person. I read a lot of business-y type books but thought maybe a change of genre would be good.

In January, I completed The Next Right Thing by Emily P. Freeman and it was extremely insightful in giving practical tips for focusing on the tasks that were most important and completing goals I set out to achieve. Do you ever find yourself struggling with “paralysis by analysis”? Yep! That is me, which is why that book HAD to be the first book I read in 2021. It did not disappoint.

I enjoy Emily’s style of writing and just by chance had purchased A Million Little Ways last year but didn’t get a chance to read it, which is why I chose it for my February book.

"Art is what happens when you dare to be who you are"

I found this book to be just what I needed to give myself a little boost of encouragement to not be afraid to be myself when I am creating, whether it be as a photographer, writer and entrepreneur. In this book you will find out who is the artist. You will uncover the art you were born to make. And you will learn how to release the art you were made to live.

“Don’t wait until tomorrow. Pick yourself today. You already have everything you need. Embrace the art alive within you, and believe in the little ways God wants to release his art into the world through you.” – Emily P. Freeman

Nearing the end of the book, Emily challenges the reader to make art and that is what I intend to do. No more paralysis by analysis for me. I am going to do the next right thing and embrace the art that has always been inside me. I can’t wait to create ğŸŽ¨

  1. Wonderful goal! I have a lofty one to read 100 books this year and I also love business/personal development. I will add this to my to-read list! Thank you for the review and recommendation.
